Technical Principles:

Study of Cranffield University of Water Sciences:

This study determines the effectiveness of a magnetic treatment device on the inactivation of a model microorganism (Escherichia coli), the consumption of chlorine and the concomitant disinfection by formation of products in swimming pool water.

The effects of magnetic water treatment on physical parameters such as deposition

of scale, conductivity and pH have been established, as well as the key performance factors of chlorine consumption, rate of inactivation of microorganisms and

formation of trihalomethanes (THMs).

It was found that in all cases the bactericidal efficacy of free chlorine was not affected

by the magnetic treatment, so that the rate of destruction of E. coli for a given dose of disinfectant increased on average by 25% thanks to this packaging

physical.

Additionally, THM generation was found to be reduced by magnetic treatment at any level of free chlorine.
